Question about 1999 Toyota 4Runner
Hi these boxes tended to be a bit noisey anyway but a simple test for the release bearing and first motion shaft is easy first make sure g/box oil level is ok
start engine ,take your foot off the clutch peddle compleatly you have a whine, put your foot on the peddleVERYlightlynoise should change ,if the noise is more of a rattle than a whine it is coming from the clutch release bearing if it a definate whine it is either the spigot bearing in the flywheel or the first motion shaft
