Engine goes off.

When i start the engine, it comes up and goes off after a minutes or more and when i try to star it, the check engine light in the dash board does not
go off.

The check engine light comes on after about 30 seconds of starting the car. It goes off after the car has warmed to operating temp. The system was checked, getting a dtc 214 code. 1994 escort 1.8 engine

try unhooking the battery for about 10 minutes, after doing an engine swap on my car the check engine light would come on. there were no problems but unhooking the battery fixed it.

Probably the sensor. Hair line crack in sensor can cause the check engine light to come on .When the sensor gets hot it expands and causes a fault reading.

oil is low when first starting but as pressure builds up it goes off. check your oil before starting the car to see if it's low.
