Is your ETS light also coming on when you hit the brakes and then staying on?

If so it is the brake switch that attaches to the brake pedal.

It is an easy fix

Remove four crews for the black dash cover. Two large plastic screws at fron of cover.
You can also remove your OBD plug to make it easier. it is two small screws and a plug that is tough to get apart.

I didnt mess with it and just move cover out of the way

Unplug the upper and lower pig tail going into switch. twist and pull out the old one.
Carefully push in and twist new switch into place. plug upper and lower pigtails back in.
replace cover and done.....

Good luck

My brake lights never turn off

On your break peddel under your dash is a break switch. It has come loose and needs to be readjusted. It is very easy to do. Just drop ya pannle under your dash and you will see the switch on ya breake peddel. It has to be touching the break rod in order to shut the break light out. Only when you push on the break does it make a conection. Lossen the nut and turn it out untill your lights go out and then retighten the nut. The break lights should come on when you move the break peddle and inch. Hope this helps.

Tail lights work but break lights do not work

Chack the break light switch which on my car is on the break tank. There should be 2 wires going to the switch. If you short them out and the lights work then replace break light switch.
It might be the earth connection to break lights. If there is an earth lead remove clean and replace. Then give the connection a coat of paint.

Please help.I have a 2005 Dodge Caravan. When I start the van the rear break lights would turned on automatically. When I step on the break the lights stays the same,no indication of breaking from the rear...

You have a bad break switch. It is located under your dash, above your break pedal. The stem of your break pedal, when pushed down, activates the break switch. When you push, the break light comes on. It is chrome looking. It is a round cylinder. That should fix you up. If you need anything else, please let me know. Thank you for choosing FixYa.

Tail break lights don't work. Window break light does work however. Bulbs have been replaced.

Check the brake light fuse. The high mounted brake light (third brake light) is on a different circuit than the brake lights. Hope this helps.
