I have a 2003 chevy 1500 4x4 that has been getting small cracks in the transfer case that cause an oil leak. This truck is not ran off road and does not have any lift kits. Most of the time it is driven like a car. Is this a GM warranty problem?

Well unless you have have an extended warranty warranty that covers entire drivetrain than I doubt its a warranty problem. However if you were refering to a factory recall and free dealer replacement they are generally used to fix serious safety issues which possess a threat of serious personal injury or death while operating that specific make/model/series of vehicle. You can check the tsb's (technical service bulletins) for your vehicle and sometimes there will be a new part or service that can be used to fix that problem but you would need to pay for that part and/or labor if you have the dealer correct it.

1992 5.7L chevy silverado 1500 , four wheel drive problems

These have a notorious problem with the transfer case switch, which is a small inexpensive solenoid on the transfer case. In time, debris from the road gets plugged in it rendering it inoperable which prevents the unit from engaging the transfer case to transfer power to the front axle. Can be purchased at parts store for under $20. 11_18_2013_3_05_56_pm.png

Leaking Transfer Case

most Gear boxes with transfer cases have an oil seal between the main gear box and the transfer case so that the oil from the box is not passed through to the transfer case causing it to over fill. If there only a few spots under the car you have time to find exactly where the leak is. May be only an output shaft seal. Check the level of the gear box and transfer case your self It will be level with the filler plug. The oil used is either sae80-90 or oep 80-90. Check manufactures specs on this. If it turns out to be the seal between the two boxes then it will require the unit removal for seal replacement.

Coolant leak 2003 sierra 2500 crew cab, gas engine. Great truck!

Check the oil, and make sure it is not turning a milky brown color. If it is, then you probably have a leaking head gasket/cracked head/cracked engine block. I normally wouldn't recommend this, but put some stop leak in it since the leak is not severe. Hopefully it will take care of it.

Transfer case leak

You mean between the case halves? It is just silicon, no gasket. These are good for the pump wearing a hole in the rear housing and leaking oil. The cure for it is a new rear housing and a piece called a case saver that keeps the pump from doing it again. Taking the transfer case apart to fix it is easy, I can tell you how to do it.
