Question about 2002 Daewoo Nubira

1 Answer

Tappet like noise

Good morning;

I am currently driving a 2002 Daewoo Nubira .

For the last couple of days there is noise coming from the engine or fanbelt are that sounds like a tic tic sound (tappets). Usually it is louder in the morning and it does soften a bit but it is still there even after the car has been driven for a while. Do i need to worry a lot about it?
What could this be and what solution can you offer.

Thank you

    When my car starts is sounds like a Ford f450. very diesel like, if you will. when i hit the gas i hear a loud tapping in the engine. Ironically the oil light came on at the same time too, but the problem seems to be two seperate. Im having my car brough to the repair shop to see what they can do. My father suggests having the tappets adjusted?

Maybe your timing belt is shredding and hitting the plastic cover.

Just bought 2002 Daewoo couple days ago and my windshield wipers not working. Do not hear any noise that would represent a motor for this.

under the dash there is a relay for the wipers,you pull of the plastic cover under the steering wheel and you will see them right next to the fuse box, i believe it is the black relay.
when you call for a new one make sure you have the month/year car was made and the 8th digit of the VIN

Hi
I am disappointed. Your website is misleading because it does not provide what it promise; free advice. It will be nicer if you will just tell the people you provide advice for a fee up front. If your way of doing business is misleading, what am I to expect from your paid advice services? Please take me off your email list.

There is no dipstick, you should have a small plastic reserve tank towards the right side of the engine close to the firewall. It looks like the reserve tank for your brake fluid.
