Question about 2000 Daewoo Lanos
Hi, I have a problem with my daewoo lanos (2000). While driving today, the car all of a sudden lost power when I tried to accelerate. Acceleration was very very slow. After pulling over I noticed smoke coming out from the hood. Looking under the engine, I noticed the exhaust pipe near the catalytic converter was cherry red. The section that was red was only about 4-5 inches or so. Check engine light also came on (blinking), not just your usual on. Car felt like it wanted to stall at a stop but didn't. I let the car cool down for about an hour or so, and it became good again. But after about driving it for 10 minutes, it kicked in again and lost power and engine light came on blinking again. The pipe got cherry red again. Some told me that it might be the timing belt which is throwing everything off. Some say its the catalytic converter, or the pipe being clogged. Anyone who could help me out with this would be a savior to me.
7 - TP Sensor (Throttle Position)
This is the problem with my vehicle i have a Honda cat turned cherry red smoked the color was white and i looked at the ecu for the flash codes i got 7 witch is stated above replacing that sensor should help the problem. I am doing the same thing tomorrow going to buy the part install it and hope it fixes everything if not i will come back and let you know. everything above you say i am having the same issues so its not just you :)
