Time for a head gasket your car has a blown head gasket common problem. Do a commpression test on each cylinder to find and commpression lost if so you know you need a need head gasket. Make sure you have no more than a 20 psi diffrence and add a little oil helps for commpression. The kit to test is called a commpression test kit you can rent it or buy it in an autoparts store. Call them to ask if they have on on hand before you waste time.

Is the cylnder head temp sensor and the cooliant temp sensor the same thing on a 2004 Lincoln ls 6 cyndler? Can't find the cooliant temp sensor everything redirects to cylnder head temp sensor even at...

cylinder head temp sensor measures the temp of the cylinder head metal itself and the coolant sensor measures the temp of the coolant only. the coolant sensor is mounted in the coolant and the head sensor is mounted only in the metal of the head and not into anything else. check with a dealer.

COOLIANT

The use in modern engines is not recommended because of the high temperatures encountered by the coolant. Etylene glycol or other antifreeze products also raise the boiling point of the water, to better avoid overheating. you will get it in professional garage shops or car repair shops but taske care you do not use water only object in plase of cooland if they suggest as it will damage the part.

1998 olds acheive low cooliant light on

Did you add coolant ? you are supposed to bleed the system after adding coolant. it also could be a bad Coolant temperature sensor which turns on the radiator fans. or a leak in the intake manifold gasket.Or even a bad thermostat. Does the heater work ? All of this can cause that problem.

1997 lexus ls 400 the heat and air is not working.

yes you can use 50/50 coolant and do not need to add water also you have to put in enough coolant in the car and to make sure the car runs until it gets to temp to make sure you have all the bubbles out of the system

I am having trouble with my speedometer not working occasionally and now my seat belt light is coming on sometimes too. Is this the instrument panel cluster? Or something else? 1998 Dodge Neon. Backstory is as follows: -We take very good care of it and have one dedicated mechanic. -It has only had two owners; my parents and I. -We replaced the battery 2 months ago. -Mechanic checked to make sure the speedometer sensor was working. -We have had issues with the radio for years where it will randomly turn on and off, typically brought on by a stuffed trunk OR wet weather. -The speedometer works until we hit a bump and then the needle flies up and down or sometimes just stops working all together. -Mechanic has made mention of there being some Chrysler specific battery cable that is a smaller side cable and it is not in good condition. -Currently, my problem is that I can't find an old 1998 Dodge Neon in the salvage yard because yards are doing a lot of 2002 and newer vehicles and automatically crushing the others. The meat and potatoes of my question is what direction do I go in? And what of these symptoms ties to each other? And will adding new solder to the points on the panel fix it or is it something else? I'm trying to find least expensive to most expensive options and I'm rather handy but can't drop an engine or transmission or anything so keep this in mind. My handiness ends at resoldering the pins BUT I do have a mechanic I trust, but I fear that maybe I'm not combining symptoms properly. I have the money to repair an item I KNOW is wrong but not to chicken hunt around for problems.
