Question about 1997 Volkswagen Jetta
While jump starting my 97 jetta the alarm was tripped and i can't get it to go off. They say to use the key with the door lock but the only problem is that the locks are all screwed up and that is not an option for me.I can't get the car started at all since the alarm is going nutts. Does anyone know how to fix this issue without using the door lock method. This car is just a gas friendly junker to keep me from driving my truck all over the place so paying a dealer to fix it would not be worth it. Please help. Thanks alot
You can actually fix the door locks the tumblers just get hung take the handles off then take out the tumblers and soak them in wd40 then take a screw driver and press on the tumblers one at a time they will free up then just put a little silicon lube on them and your good to go.My door locks was stuck on my 97 jetta and i fixed it this way.
