My GMC Sierra 1500 2004 blower motor only works on high speed

Very common issue with those! Most likely will need a blower motor resistor at the least and possible resistor pig tail. They get hot and melt the ends causing a bad connection. If not going to dealer be sure to take bad resistor with you because there are two different styles that look similar until you go to bolt it back up. If replacing the pig tail replace one wire at a time so you do not cross wire it.

Blower worked intermittently on 5 hit a bump on/off replaced resistor and pig tail but blower still doesn't work?? what do I need to check now?? grounding??

If blower motor resistor was replaced, make sure all connections are tight and well plugged in. I would supply direct powerr and ground to the blower motor to see if it works. It still sounds like a resistor issue

How do I change the blower fan in a ford 2003 supercab

Blower motor in engine compartment passenger firewall area, you may have to remove the cruise control servo to get motor out, very easy and straightforward job, be careful transferring the blower motor wheel over to new motor, remove lockclip first on motor shaft.

Blower motor fan speed control switch

In my opinion, the problem is the blower motor. The bearings or bushings are wore out.

Blower motor won't run

Most likely the blower motor resistor,,, always check fuse first (KISS) the blower motor resistor is mounted on the heater box (inside or out) not sure on the s-10 most likely the pig tail that plugs into the resistor is defective by melting at the connection to the resistor so after finding and checking the resistor you may need to order a repair pigtail and replace that too. Note always check the blower motor to see if it moves freely,,, a stiff or hard to turn blower motor is a good reason the resistor would fail.

I have a 2001 ford f350 diesel dully. I replaced the starter with a rebuilt one after doing so it failed to start a couple of times. Thought it was the rebuit starter so took it off and took it back in...

I had a customer with the same issue, f350 sometimes won't start. He had two issues The pig tail on the alternator on these will brake internally due to a pretty tight pull on the connector breaks the ground wire inside and will not have great connectivity for recharging the dual battery set up also not giving the correct voltage to start the truck. Two) believe it or not the a/c compressor will start to go out and will seize up a little bit at a time up until it stops turning completely. When it does seize up it will feel like the motor is locked up all you will get is a hard click, followed by the sound of the belt streaching kind like a (boing ) sound, if the truck gets to this point cut the belt and replace the a/c system .

Water leaks through air vent

I would pull the blower motor out and check the water condensation drain at the bottom of the blower motor housing, it is likely plugged with leaves or a mouse nest or both.

Blower motor is bad. Resistor controls speed. Motor is so worn out that it will only turn when set on high. Best to replace it before it burns out something else due to the high current draw.
