Thank you so much for replying on my issue. Obviously I need to find a new shop. The car started fine Sunday AM, but started to rough idle and chug after this. The shop it is at advised me that one cylinder is not firing, but is getting gas, compression etc. You think that it may be a bad chip valve? Any help you can give this gal would be greatly appreciated!!

It can be a wire. You can buy them separately as a generic. Just take the old wire in and match the length and boot type.
If you have another plug wire to fit temporarily, clear the computer and see if it solves the problem. The problem can also be an injector. They are more generic and you can move the injector from #2 to another cylinder and see if the defect follows. Remember to clear the computer after making the change.
Check your vacuum hoses and then see if the idle screw is set properly and timimg is correct and all clinders are firing properly and in the correct order. Also did this just start or was something changed to make it start??
SOUNDS like you have put 1 of the plug wires on the wrong way around OR you have got a valve sticking or burnt out so go back and check the firing order
on a 4 cylinder its 1342 and on a 6 clinder its 153652
RECHECK AND LET ME KNOW HOW YOU GET ON.
make sure all connector around where you disconnected the wrong hose if some prestone whent on the distributor cap you may have damp distributor cap remove the cap clean towel remove dampness reinstall and start good luck pierre
you need two things fuel and fire. Check for spark, and remove the fuel filter your gas might have frozen, with all this ethanol **** your getting corn whiskey whitelightning, moonshine its mostly water. water freezes even if surrounded by gas especially when it gets that cold hope this helps.
