This problem seems to be very common with these vechicals! If youve checked your crank sensor and juice to your coil,it may be your Ecm.The module is located on the left side of your firewall as your looking at your motor.

Ive had my from about 2 years its a 1.8 litre and i cannot get a spark Ive replace the coil and distributor and all the spark plugs and leads is there anything else that could cause this problem it over...

Have a look at the ignition module. Cars of that vintage had a pretty basic electronic ignition system with an exterior module that worked in conjunction with the distributor. The ignition contacts on the key switch could be a problem and also the distribution of the spark plug leads. The firing order is 1 3 4 2 . Also check that you are firing on # 1 TDC compression and not # 4.

Are coil plugs on a 2003 Ford focus the same as the spark plugs or no? Also are the ignition wires the same as sparkplug wires?

Coil plugs? Honestly ive never heard of that. I would assume you meant the ignition coil or ignition coils, and no they are not the same thing as the spark plugs. Ignition coils are actually what generates an electric spark for your spark plugs.

Igntion wires are in fact the same thing as spark plug wires just a different name for the same thing.

Ive got no spark to the cap at all but im getting power to the coil

The igniter is a pretty common fix for this. It is the little module inside of the distributor that controls spark. It will have three wires on the top and one on the side. They usually recommend replacing the coil when you replace the igniter/module.

if it goes to the distributor than that is an ignition takes a small signal from the distributor and switches on and off to make a signal with more current to drive the coil.if it is bad you will have no spark.
