The crank sensor is behind the harmonic balancer. Not too hard to replace, the harmonic balancer is supposed to come right off but I needed a big 2-jaw puller to get it off.... accessed through the wheel well.

If you are asking about the cam sensor it is easy to replace, passenger side of engine on or near timing chain housing, however, if the cam sensor magnet is weak it too must be replaced, which involves removing the timing gear and chain

Umm there is no engine idle screw on those type of vehicles.. If you are having problems with your idle then check the TPS(Throttle Position Sensor)sensor which is usually located on top of the intake..

Where is the MAP located on a 87 olds delta 88? is it on the firewall?

I have a series II 3.8 liter. The MAF sensor is located under the plastic cover for the engin. You have to take the oil fill cap and neck off to lift the cover off. Once the cover is removed, the MAF sensor can be seen at the top and to the left of the engin. it is a small square box that has a three wire plug in and two vacume lines going to it. Ceck to see if the wire connections are ok before you replace the sensor. Good luck.

My 1993 Olds 88 wont start cranks but wont kick over. Fuel prob

3.8 are known for ignition trouble but first use the fuel release valve located on top of engine under a screw cap to see if your getting fuel. It takes 4 things to make engine run fuel spark air and compression. But most likely the Ign control module or crank sensor. So try this
1) check the fuel pressure
2) check for spark
3) compression test
