I have the reverse problem. When the heater is on, the driver's side is nice and toasty, but the passenger side blows cold air. I have tried moving the temperature zone control all the way to the last red arrow, but it still blows cold air. I need help, winter is just around the corner.

If your A/C has a temperature control on the passenger door (dual zone): It may be set all the way to cold (end of the blue zone). If the driver's side is set to a warm temperature, that may explain the warm air from the vent.

If that's not the case, the a/c temperature mixer door on the driver's side may be stuck .

Check the air duct and check the air vent also. It may be that the air vent stay close . I also would check the intake manifold. Go in the easy one first.

2002 buick Lesabre (Limited) - When operating the AC I have warm air coming out of the on driver's side vents and cold air on coming out the passanger side vents.

check battery, battery cables, starter, starer solenoid, check if your battery have any power left, by turning lights on, if light is strong then on the starter motor, remove the remote wire, the thin wire connected to the starter from the ign. switch, instead of the remote cable, try to by pass it, with battery voltage, with ign switch on on pasition, if your starter works the starter is good if not change the estater, if starter works then check the remote wire, could be damage, could be the starter switch, fuse , or the starter relay. when working on car always make sure if the engine starts there is rotsting components. Thanks

Cold air on passenger side warm air on drivers side

Actuator motors either get a tear in the rubber or a hose is broken and not letting vacuum assist in its opening.
You can try moving the lever by hand and see if the air gets colder on the bad side.c976077.jpg

My lesabre blows warm air on driver side cool air on passenger side

If you have dual climate control, you most likely have a low freon level. The evaporator can get cold enough for the passenger side (where the evaporator is located), but not cold enough to transfer cold air to the passenger side. Have it inspected for a leak and the freon level topped off.

Vent door between the two sides isn't opening or the flex hose going between the two is off.

2001 buick lesabre-ac problems

  • Assumed your AC unit is OK, but uneven temperature distribution. Try to throw the heater on an off severtime. A sticky valve on the heater would cause similar problem.
  • Observe the RPM while parking your car. While the AC cut in cut out (or turn on an off). If it cause no load on the engine. The freon may be low or the compressor is bad. In this case only the intake side of the evaporator is cooler than the other side.

yes it is called the blend door, you either have a sticking blend door or the actuator motor for the door is defective and does not completely shut off the heater core. The pass side has it's own blend door.

I had same problem on 2000 Lesabre blowing cold on passenger and warm on driver. I fixed it by adding more freon even though it had 28 pounds of preasure. Now it works great!
