2001 Ford Taurus Door Panel Removal

By jesusfreek91 on Jul 10, 2008

I need to get to the front speakers of my Taurus and therefore need to remove the door panel. I took all of the screws out of the door but am afraid to pull too ******* the door panel to get it off. Is there any certain piece of the panel that needs to come off first or does it just require a certain amount of force??

Make sure you have taken out ALL the screws in the doors. There are screws on the sides of the panel itself going around the door and then there will be one at the door handle. Once you know you have removed them all, place a flat head screwdriver on the outside corner (Bottom closes to door handle) and pry it up until you can get your hand on it and continue around the bottom of the door.

Once you get the bottom out just give it a bit of force and I also suggest you buy some new panel plugs. since the old plastic ones will most likly break or deform.
