Sounds like the splice problem in the driver's side door sill.

Some times water gets into the channel, and causes issues with the splices to the VSM ( Vehicle Security Module ). The big one seems to be the door input. Other symptoms can be the power seat ( if equipd ) does not work, or the power mirrors stop working.

On the std cab, the splice is closer to the a pillar, on the SuperCrew the splice is towards the c pillar where the wires route up the pillar.

The splice is a 3 wires splice ( 1 wire from 1 direction, to 2 wires the other direction ) that are covered in loom tape that looks like hockey stick tape.

Pictures of the splices.

SuperCrew Purple wire

Be prepared with some 14 AWG wire to add to the splice ( need to cut back to find clean wire on both sides ), soldering iron for the splices, and marine heat shrink tube ( the ones with the water proofing gel in them ) to repair it.

My radio won't turn off when the car is off.Do and it's killing my battery. Is there a way to just disconnect the radio to stop the problem?

find the fuse box and remove the radio fuse .it should either be numbered or named. and the fuse box is under the bonnet or under the dashboard.but check that the fuse you remove is ONLY for the radio and not other operations also.

Mon radio reste toujours allumer meme si la cle est pas la et ces une yaris 2008 pouver vous m aider

Open the passenger door and see if the radio shuts off, if it does you need to replace the door ajar sensor on the drivers side inside the door attached to the door latch. This situation is caused by a system called delayed exit, that means that the cars electrical system stays on until a door is opened.

2004 Mitsubishi Outlander. I replaced the battery but when I turned the key the radio AC lights all that came on but didnt start. I can hear the battery give off juice but the engine isnt budging.

Shut the hood and all the doors. Make sure they are closed and locked. Open the drivers door with the key to reset the security. It should start. If not lock it and open the passenger side with the key. Then replace the drivers side door latch on the door.

You don't find much with the door jamb switches any longer. Its all done inside the door with the switches being on the door latch.

2006 ford ajair switchneed to find out were on door

The door ajar switch is part of the door latch.

Example the driver's door the wire from the door latch is Back w/ Yellow stripe wire ( switched to ground ) , the passenger front door is Black w/ Pink stripe wire.

These go to the instrument cluster, if the factory RKE is not installed. With the factory RKE, they are run to the BSM / VSM ( Body / vehicle security module ).

Is the problem the radio will not turn off when you open the driver's side door ( have to open the passenger to get the radio to shut off ) ?

Radio will not turn off

U have a driver door defective courtesy light switch, this sytem has what is called delyed exit, it keeps all the accessories on until one of the door is opened, driver or passenger front will turn it off, so if the passenger front door shuts the radio off u need to replace the switch.
