Problem for Subaru 2002 Outback

2002 Outback air condistioning

By westrec on Jul 10, 2008

" "
I recently purchased a 2002 Subaru Outback wagon. The car runs great expect when temperatures hit 95 degrees. I live in Las Vegas, so 95 is a cool day. Above that air temp the car runs a little hot, cutting off the air conditioning, which is when I want air conditioning. I have had the ac recharged, and put in a new termostat, and the car is running cooler, but the ac barely trickles on. Is there something about Subaru's and hot weather?

Look at your fan. You either have a weak fan clutch or if its electric you have an electrical fan problem. You need to see if the fan is running strong when it overheats. I am assuming you have checked your coolant.
