Question about 1998 Volkswagen Jetta
Hi, the location of the thermostat depends on the engine type, so we'll need to know that first.
Tell me, does the electric radiator fan run? If not, the fuse for that could be blown, or the electrical connector corroded or dirty, or the temperature sensor or its connector might be defective. Location of thermostat might be in your User's Manual and definately in a Haynes or Bentley manual - highly recommended.
Hope this helps. If this "fixes ya", I'd appreciate a rating for my reply, If not, please delay the rating and "add a comment" with any extra info you have and I will try to think of something else.
