Question about 2001 Dodge Neon

1 Answer

Tail lights/front parking lights don't work.

The tail lights and front parking lights will not work. All other lights work including flashers, brake lights, head lights and turn signals. I checked all fuses and they seem to be good. I checked both rear bulbs and they are good. (I substituted a new bulb for the old ones and both worked). Does this car have two fuse boxes? I need help!!!!

Same thing for me, but with a 2000 Dodge Neon ES. Fuse box on drivers side dash is fine, all fuses checked. Also, when i press the lock button on the keypad, the horn still honks, but the exterior lights no longer flash. This could be a connected issue? Hopefully that gives more insight into the problem for anyone knowing how to solve it.

I have a 83 Chevy S10 2.8L and recently the tail lights went out. Ive replaced bulbs and checked fuses and none seem to be the problem.
    Anyone off some help?

Parking lights, tail lights, lic plate light don't turn on. But the headlights, brake lights and turn signals all work. Checked as many fuses I could find that I thought would have something to do with this.

Turn Signals, Do the Front Work and the Back don't? If NONE then FLASHER FUSE

None of the blinkers work on my 1996 dodge stratus, all bulbs are good as the park lights and flashers work. I have three dead ports in fusebox under hood.

Guessed it's a V6. Trying to sort this out. If setting the headlamp switch to PARK turns on the park filaments of the front park/turn signal lamp and the tail filaments of the rear tail/stop lamps and the separate tail lamps, the park light circuit is good. If 20A fuse 6 in the power distribution center is OK, the combination flasher in the multifunction switch is receiving power. Power is directed to the turn signal lamps by operation of the turn signal/hazard warning switch. If the turn signals are not flashing, the combination switch may have failed or the turn signal flasher part of the combination flasher may have failed. Finally, the hazard warning switch causes the turn signal elements of the front combination park/turn signal lamps and the rear turn lamps to flash.

Brake lights don't work but third brake light does

I believe the flashers are on a different circute. It sounds like a bad ground.....or one of your taillight sockets is bad. I have a cavilier that had the same problem. I went to a junk yard and found some light socket s and swopped them. So far it has been working. The third light has its own ground. tail light sockets need to have a good ground, some times the ground from batt. to block, ground frome block to frame can be bad.
Think "ground"
Don't try and buy new sockets , unless they are just like the fasctory sockets. getting the entire tail light works good. Find the main tail light, the juce comes to it first, then passes to other side. Check that dide frst. work your wat over to other side, if u cant find a problem, work your way to the front and find out where the lights are grounded.
good luck

No tail lights, fog lights, rear turn signals, brake lights or parking lights. Head lights and flashers work.

Wht you are describing could be disconnect wiring plug, Examine the wiring going to the tail laight assy, it may be at the front engine compartment or in the foot well , if you had any work done lately ie Starter, Pedal box or Lighting switch area these may be worth revisiting ! It's not a fuse problem . Good luck

Tail lights wont work

sounds like ground problem- remove tail lights and look for wires going to body -remove screww clean grounding area and replace- both sides. You did not say whether the lights work when car is off? With car off and brake pedal pushed is there any brake lights ? If not procede with above.
