I would check the fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, there might be a centrifugal cut-off switch. No output from the crankshaft position sensor would probly cause that. When you turn the key on you should be able to hear the pump run for a couple seconds. If not, could be a short circuit, loose connection, that sorta thing.

88 Firebirds also have a fuel filter located on the frame on the drivers side of the vehicle next to the fuel tank. If you replaced the pump and relay and you have power but no fuel either the pump is spinning and not pumping or the filters clogged. You might be pulling the tank again. Change the filter on the frame and do a pressure test at the fuel rail or throttle body. If you have no pressure after changing the filter its possible the pumps faulty.

Did you check #1 fuse 15 amp to see if it were blown? This fuse also controls the fuel pump. This Test procedure is from Mitchell Repair.
