Question about 2004 Ford Fusion
Two things are happening with this car and I'm unsure whether they're related.. Firstly the temp/guage will suddenly start flashing as though its over heating. (levels are all correct) and then just go back to normal, and this is only after a few moments of driving!!!
But more alarming is the rev-counter blips irratically and seems to stick and if you blip the throttle it goes haywire. this is my first diesel. if it were petrol I'd say the throttle was sticking and spray it with WD, this has no obvious linkages to point to that kind of problem. so any ideas anyone.

Have your electrical wireing checked for shorting & grounding -to body metal-faults.In perticular the leads to the instrument cluster-look for wireing insulation cuts or cracks & have them taped or sleeved
