Have problems starting 1989 maxima

Tried jiggling the fuse box on the inside and sometimes works but sometimes dies right after

Jiggling the fues box and sometimes works, that means some connections are lossing. check the back of the fuse box to find out which one is lossing and fix it.

    Do you have any sucket over there? try to jigging all the wires there see what's going on.

    Sometimes for older suckets, damaged by heat and shorted inside.

    please give me more details.

Alternator wont charge battery at all.

an easy way to fInd out how to fIx thIs Is one. wIl tue vehIcle start at all? If It wIll than start the car and carefully take the posItIve cable off the battery and see If the vehIcle dIes. If It does than you need to replace the alternator because the transformer In the alternator Is out. If the vehIcle does not start all the fuse may be In two places. check the fuse In the car at the fuse panel and or the fuse box under the hood.

Brake lights not working on my toyota camry 1989 model all bulbs are ok and I HAVE NO OTHER PROBLMS DONT KNOW WHAT FUSES TO USE FUSES BOX IS ON RIGHT SIDE OF STEERING WHEEL AND UNDER THE HOOD

If you have the original manual it should tell you which fuse is for brake lights.It should also be on the inside cove of the fuse box cover.Sometime you may also have a fuse box under the hood.

try jiggling the ignition with the key in it, that might work or you could always just unplug the fuse. im just spitballing here. but mine sometimes does that and i just jiggle the ignition and it stops.

You may need a new alternator because if they are messed up, they will drain batteries and make it hard to start or keep your car running. Also get the starter checked because that can make it hard to start the car too.

Sounds as if you need the electrical portion of the ignition switch. The contacts inside are most likely worn out.
