Radio is on while driving, Arrived at where I wanted to go, Time to
leave again, Start car, Out of the radio speakers comes a sound like
when there is a thunderstorm, AM station, loud cracking sound.
Sometimes the radio comes on and it works OK, sometimes you have to
turn radio off and then on again to get it to work.

This is a good indication that your battery has a bad cell (or more) and needs replacement. Funny you should mention it but the exact same thing happened to me this week, so I had the dealership check the battery (as the car is still under warranty) and at first, when I had just arrived, the battery checked out "good". I explained that I had just ran for over 30 minutes at 70Mph, so it would have charged up some. They left the acc on, turned on the lights and the radio, waited for a mere 3 minutes, and then tried to start the vehicle. This time, the vehicle did the clicking sound and did not crank. When they checked the battery again, the tester showed the battery was only 10.7 volts (should be 12v or above, most of the time reads closer to 14v...)
