Question about 1994 Plymouth Sundance
Hi, I have a 94 Sundance and the engine light comes on after driving for awhile, then when i start it up again, sometimes it comes back on and others it doesn't, sometimes it stays on. Is there another way to check what it means without taking it to a mechanic? Also it gets a little sugglish sometimes when accelerating usually from a dead stop then it tends to pick up? What do you suggest? Pam
What you do is turn the ignition to the "on" position and back to the "off" position 3 times. On the last "on/off" cycle, leave the key in "on". The check engine light will start flashing. The first group of flashes is the 1st number of the code. There will be a pause and then a 2nd set of flashes will be the 2nd number of the code. If there's more than one code, there will be a pause and then there will be another set of flashes for the next code and so on. A Haynes or Chilton's repair manual, available at any parts store, will tell you what the codes mean.
