I have a cd stuck in my 2005 accord how do I remove the cd player

  • Anonymous Oct 08, 2008

After a couple months of having the brand new car, the CD player stopped working altogether. We actually have a 2006 Honda Accord......our CD's are stuck inside of it, too. Can anyone help us figure out how to get the CD player out of the dash so we can retrieve our CD's? They told us at the dealership that they would have to send the car out to have it taken apart, and it wasn't covered under warranty so it would be really expensive......!

2006 Accord.  Didn't know there was a cd in the player and started to insert another one.  I didn't push hard, but after I ejected the cd in there, it now thinks there is still one inside.  When I try to put a new cd in it reaches a point where it stops and won't be accepted.  For awhile when the radio was on I'd press the CD/AUX button and it would say cd error.  Now, when I press the CD/AUX button it does not even acknowledge it.  Help!  thanks.

CD & DVD players are among the least reliable of all electronics and prohibitively expensive to repair because of the labor involved with removal and re-installation in a vehicle. Also, the transport mechanism that is causing your problem is not even likely to be available after 6 years.I highly recommend replacing with a new stereo and, if you are of faith, praying a little that the new one will last as long as the original.
