If it's diesel..first thing I would do is to change fuel filter...diesel requires efficient fuel flow to have power

"whoa big fellar" before you star pointing at big$ probs try fuel filter. Also when was last tune up? Sometimes something simple as carbon build up can cause lack of power. I would start with a "ground zero" tune up and go from there before you start throwing parts at it to only find out it was dirt in an injector

Mercedes 320 sport auto tranmision kickdown not responding

There can be an array of problems that can illuminate the EPC lamp on S-Class 220. A few of the most common faults with these are : HFM sensor, turbo or blocked cats. the best way to check the cats are the remove them and tap them on the ground and if dust falls out then the cats are damaged, if OK, you may have to plug into a diagnostic machine.

High emissions on Peugeot 1.9 306 turbo diesel No smoke coming out but lacks power

suspect a blocked catalytic converter...lightly tap on it. listen for debris falling, put you hand in front of the rear exhaust pipe to see if the pressure feels fairly forceful...cats are expensive...check a locally trusted mechanic if you suspect that it is bad....some times he has a good used one lying around....also if the engine has'nt been seriously tuned lately....then have it done FIRST!!! hope this is helpful

Turbo lag and lack of power

Hi,
This is the second Vw I have responded to in a fortnight.
Your lack of power I presume always happens when the glow plug light illuminates?
This is because it is causing over combustion to vaporised diesel, I would be looking in the Glow plug timer and relay, as for Turbo lag, I run a E34 6 cyl Bmw Diesel and the Turbo only kicks in around 2,500ish so maybe yours is a little tired or in need of a check up?
Hope this helped,

Slow on starting , holds back when driving, even on an A road or motorway my vehicle is mitsubishi shogun long wheel base 2.8 turbo diesel

turbo must have a problem or remember tro vehicles have turbo lag. . . usually mitsu's turbos start giving power around 2500prm - 3000rpm. .

but usually on older turbo diesel mitsus the turbos are the first to go. . . .
