Here's an old "cure all" for diesels... stop by parts store and buy either Risolone and/or Marvel Mystery oil (I know, weird name but GREAT product) Run a bottle w/your next tank of fuel. Diesel valves and injectors are more prone to sticking and gumming up. Both of the above products are fantastic for slowly dissolving gunk and build up. I have friend that's a testimonial for Risolone - he has an old Benz diesel - coming up on 400k miles (yes 400k) and the heads have never been off. He puts a shot glass worth of Risolone every third tank full. Both Risolone

Mitsubishi l200 2.5 did 08 very noisy engine, sounds very tappety is this normal ?

It may be worn out valve lifters that are inside the engine. If you have more than 6,000 miles on the oil, valve lifters could run noisier. Changing to a high mileage type of motor oil may quite down the valve lifters noise somewhat. Synthetic oil used during the summer months could make it noisier too. If you can hear the noise while driving the car, it is not normal. Upon acceleration, if it gets noisier, you will be needing a valve job in the not to distant future.

The gizmo's that claim to increase your mileage do not work , you might as well hire a witch to cast a spell on your car. The best way to increase mileage is to make sure tire pressures are correct , remove any excess weight (junk) from the trunk , and practice economy driving habits. No quick starts etc.

I have a 06 dodge ram 3500 with Cummings diesel.

you have what is known as an open diff. or worn out clutch packs in a limited slip. most makers put in a open diff because its cheaper and handles better. if you did not pay for it on your invoice your stuck with stock unless you put it in your self.

Generally that bearing will be noisy with very light pressure on the clutch pedal. It will go like that for a while, getting progressively noisier.

Better engine performance and gas mileage

try either a cold air intake or a chevron....a chevron is a cylinder with slots cut like arrow heads which will remove air turbulence....that alone will increase your performance at least 25% and horse power about another 40 to 50.

Should O/D off always light or unlight?

The light should normally be "off", by pushing the small button on the transmission shifter. For power or passing at high speed, push the button again to light "O/D off", signifying that the overdrive is off. Overdrive (O/D) is normally for cruising at highway speeds to maximize gas mileage. Having it off increases the motor RPM's, increasing power, and decreasing mileage and gas efficiency.

For most purposes turn "on" overdrive, and the light on the dash should go out.
