Question about 1992 Honda Accord

3 Answers

1992 honda accord. The car will die and then run while driving. This happens more often at rpm less than 2500. Car is able to start right up after dying. The car will often die while stopped for a light. New cap, rotor, plugs, wires, fuel filter a few months ago. New main relay 4 months ago. Barely made it home tonight, symptoms much less at 3000 rpm and above.

I do not believe that the solution offered is correct. While I am driving the car will die and then go just like someone turned the key off and then on again. Sometimes it is once and other times it is several time, as if some one is turning the car on and off and on and off

Remove the sender unit in the tank and check and clean the gauze fuel filter on the end of the pick up pipe ,this age vehicle has a metal fuel tank and i think you have a build up of rust inside the tank which is drawing up to the gauze filter causing this fuel starvation problem ,stopping engine allows the rust fall away from the filter so it runs again for a while

i`d say your battery is already dead(not able to hold charge) the car requires the continuous flow of power from the altinator. if the the power dies then your altinator is not supplying it properly. get it checked and replaced if nesesary.
