2.If the number of notches is not the standard value, adjust the cable length with the adjusting nut on the equalizer.

Do one side at a time. The PULL is reverse but that will give you something to follow

Take a Picture of EACH SIDE.. Just in case there is soemthing that happened.

Use Anti-Seize on the Adjustment Screw

Adjust the Drums with the Tire Off, take the Drum on and off to adjust. Will save you a lot of time

I have a 2007 rav 4 the engine light will flash and the rav feels rough the engine or trans won't shift then it stops and works fine

The flashing check engine light means there is a serious problem with the performance of the engine. You need to get the computer scanned for trouble codes next.

1998 4runner(limited)148k miles.left rear tire locks up,then rolls????parking break is not engaged,

if its rear drum brakes, you probably have a sticking wheel cylinder. or a brake adjuster that's adjusted too tight. If its four wheel disc brakes it's probably the emergency brake cable/ tension mechanism not releasing.

Emergency break repair . How do you adjust the cable?

Hello there:
these cables have a single cable that comes from the parking break back to the rear wheels where it now is attached to 2 cables 1 for each rear wheel right at the area where the single cable attach to the 2 cables there is a turnbuckle adjustment so you need to loosed up the nut(s) on the turn buckle and turn the turnbuckle to make the cables tighter that go to the parking brake once you have adjusted it try to set the brake and see if the adjustment is ok if not readjust untill you get the proper adjustment than turn 1/4 turn more and tighten the nuts back down and you are a done ok?
Hope this is very helpful for you
Best regards Michael

Replace rear wiper 2007 RAV-4?????

Slide a small screwdriver under the tab in the middle of the blade and the arm, while pressing the tab in, pull blade away from the arm, this may need some extra wiggle. Remember you dont want it to fall off when driving..
