Question about 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser

Open Question

Hi sir. I have a 2008 toyota Fj cruiser auto transmission with TRD supercharger. it has headers with the orignal cat back system and uni chip tuned. after 2 months of normel performance my problem started. The problem is that after pressing full acceleration the car starts to lose power at rpm above 4000 rpm. its like a pulse or some kind of cutting on the fuel. I changed the fuel pump and the injectors also I re tuned the car but unfortunatly the problem is still their. am suspecting that the knock sensor is gone bad. what do you think the problem might be ? thanks, Hmood.

Check the timing and compression of the engine. It sounds like you either have a blown head gasket or a the timing jumped.

SOURCE: Toyota Camry idles then dies

It is NORMAL for the engine computer to have to "Relearn" how to idle the engine after a battery replacement. This should only be temporary and will go away after a few trips.

If it does not go away, or if the Check Engine light is coming on, it will require diagnosis to determine the cause. Nobody can tell you if the problem is related to your recent work until the cause of the problem is located.

Poor idling and stalling on deceleration can be caused by anything from a bad Idle Speed Control motor (ISC)
to low fuel pressure (Clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump) to a bad connection in the A/C clutch sensing circuit. (Kicks the idle up when the A/C compressor is running)

Where can i find the oil gauge for a automatic transmisson for my 2008 FJ Cruiser

This transmission doesn't have transmission dipstick to check the oil, this is a 'sealed" transmission which uses WS (world standard) transmission fluid, toyota claims this fluid never needs servicing but most dealers recommend changing the fluid at 100,000 miles, I myself own an 07 and changed the fluid at 60,000. Changing the fluid requires some special equipment and procedure so it's best left to the toyota dealer on this one.

Accidently drained transmission fluid from my 2007 Toyot Fj. Can't find where to replace the fluid.

Auto = might find it under the hood. if its a standard there will be a bolt on the side of the transmission in which you can fill it.
