Question about 1990 Volkswagen Fox
This is a reasonably simple job, but not without the service manual (a Haynes is sufficient). You need to get one because there are too many ways to get it wrong if you are not experienced. The reference timing marks are in strange locations. I can do them in my sleep because I've worked on the Type 17 motors for 3 decades but I just changed my Peugeot's belt and for that I made sure I had a manual by my side. Take my advice and buy a manual off eBay.
