The most likely cause is badly worn piston rings and no doubt this is a fairly high mileage engine.

Piston rings will wear with use but wear will accelerate substantially if engine oil is not changed by owners frequently , ie. at least every 3000 miles.
Engine damage will also be caused , at any time, by allowing the oil level in the sump to drop below the minimum safe level.

The cost of rebuilding the engine would well exceed the current value of the car.

More background information is required to completely understand your problem. Probable or possible causes of excessive oil consumption are as follows, ring job (complete engine overhaul) inadequate oil viscosity, or worn engine bearings. I would suggest you change you oil to higher grade such as, 10w30 and try the high mileage brand, if you are currently using the recommended 5w30.

Reset oil lamp acura integra 1992 gs

Turn the key to the "on" position, not start, step on the gas pedal 3 times, turn key tp off and then start the car. This works on most cars for the oil change light. If it is the oil pressure light get in for service very soon. Low pressure can kill your engine.
