Probable or possible causes of excessive oil consumption are as follows, ring job (complete engine overhaul) inadequate oil viscosity, or worn engine bearings. I would suggest you change you oil to higher grade such as, 10w30 and try the high mileage brand, if you are currently using the recommended 5w30.
