Mine had that problem, it's a '99. it ended up being the Catalytic Converter being so trashed, that it wasn't letting out hardly ANY exhaust. Hope it helps!

I have a 1999 GMC jimmy 4 door 4x4 v6 4.3 ltr automatic with a starting problem, it starts with starting fluid and runs great afterwards can drive all over God's creation afterwards, but day a

Sounds like you are loosing fuel pressure overnight. Since it takes 70+ psi to start and run, if you have zero pressure in the morning, it would take a long time of cranking to get the pressure back up.
If it is low or no pressure, the problem could be a faulty check valve in the fuel pump.

What should the fuel pressure be on a 2000 gmc jimmy 4+4 4 door v 6

This system should be at 60-66 psi NO MORE NO LESS.If the pressure is low it can be the fuel pump but can also be the fuel pressure regulator valve so make sure you check the FPR

2000 GMC JIMMY What controls turning on fuel pump

The pump is powered by the relay. The relay is grounded by the computer. It gets a ground signal for the first 3 seconds, then only if the computer sees oil pressure or RPM to know the engine is running.
You should be able to ground the relay and run the pump for several minutes. After 30 seconds you should be at max pressure.
Normal pressure is 15psi for a truck that has throttle body injectors such as a mid 80s model, and 65psi for trucks that have port fuel injection like yours.
You may have the wrong pump.

My 2000 GMC Jimmy cranks but wont start unless i try repeatedly or pour fuel into the intake , then it runs fine until i let it sit for hours and then the sameproblem occurs... any ideas info. or know how...

Hi, had same problem with my truck. you need to replace your fuel pump because it no longer holds the pressure in your fuel rail. If you cycle your ignition on and off multiple times(this will cycle the fuel pump relay) with out turning over the engine then start it normally, that is the problem.

Sudden po300 in a 2000 gmc jimmy what could cause this it runs but terribly

Pull the vacuum hose on the fuel pressure regulator after it has been running. If fuel runs out of it that is your problem. Replace it.

My 2000 gmc jimmy will not start. It will turn

Have you hooked up a fuel pressure gauge to the test port on the rear of the intake, drivers side. You can get a fuel pressure tester for about 40 dollars at a part store. It is a real good tool to have in your toolbox. If your Jimmy can't build 55 psi, it won't start.

Pump needs replaced, Your shop should have chk. this when it was there the first time. Did they by chance chg. the fuel filter, that can hinder it from starting too.
