Question about 2003 Jaguar X-Type

1 Answer

I have installed the latest version of the Sensis GPS in my 2003 XJ8. It gives me wildly inaccurate directions at times. Sensis has told me that the fault lies with the nav system in the car not with their disc. Do you have any answers?

Have you calibrated the nav system - this action should be available in the nav menu. you need to move your position marker to where you actually are on the indicated map screen otherwise you could get instructions to turn left etc at wildly different points.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

What's the different between XPROG 5.72 Box ECU Programmer and XPROG 5.70,which better ?

i have both xprog 5.7 and 5.72 in hand, to be honest, the different between them are mini,i have made a summary, see below

1. The V5.72 Xprog build in latest software.
2. XPROG-M FW5.72 didnt come with USB Dongle,while the XPROG 5.7 with.
3. XPROG 5.72 is the updated version of XPROG 5.7 and compared to 5.7 version, added new features like below

1.) No USB Dongle,No need activate or keygen!
2.) Directly use and can be connect with internet!!!
3.) It is a 100% EU version.
4.) Added more newer Authorizations.

4. XPROG-M 5.72 must be installed on the virtual machine and High request to your pc ,while the XPROG 5.7 didnt.

Well, for me,i like xprog 5.70 box ecu programmer best. But personally still suggest users give latest version a shot, after all,it is the new generation, with improved features and functions and added new Authorizations.

2004 Jaguar XJ8 AC

first i would try checking relays, fuses, and the ground cables. replace as neccesary....now for checking the ground cables.....i would disconnect them and try scuffing them up with a wirebrush or something that will scuff up the metal a little bit then re-attach them.....test the blower and see if it works.....let me know what happened.

Dont think they will be related but when you press the brake pedal with the ignition on can you here a solenoid click under the gear shift? These are common to fail and often don't release the shifter.

2001 Jaguar XJ8L - Intermittant starting problem -gives Gearbox Fault & when you turn the key ,the engine does not start, battery good. I think It might be a wiring or switch problem. When the car does...

I had the same issue with my 2001 XJ8 and ended up having to have the car rewired from the engine to the battery. I was charged about $300 from a independent automotive electrician. Unfortunately this was after having a new starter and alternator installed! I was told that there were 2 or 3 service bulletins on this issue from Jaguar.

Good luck on this one, it's very frustating and had my car in the shop for about 3 weeks trying to figure this one out.

I need hub dimension's,durango 4x4 slt

Look at the door sticker on the drivers door. I would have to guess that it will say it takes a 16x7.0 rim. Any store that sells the type of rims you have should be able to give you the proper spacers for this. If not, J.C. Whittney might have an after market setup to help you solve this problem. Wouldn't do a whole lot of crusing till you fix it. The tire tech is correct and it could bust the lugs real easy and take you for a wild ride!
