Try giving the blower motor a rap with a hammer handle or long screwdriver while it is on. Sometimes it will get it started. That is a sign that the motor brushes are bad and the motor will need to be replaced. The smack jars the contacts just enough to get it in motion and it will continue to run until you shut off the car.

Also the reason you can get air to move when you are driving is there is a vacuum created in the cabin by air passing over the car. You can change this volume of air movement by changing modes from vent to heat or max a/c . It will probably have the best movement while driving in the vent position as that opens the mode door to outside air and crack a window open an inch.

I had that exact problem, where after I warmed up the car it would only blow warm air when driving. At a stop it would gradually become cold. To fix this, I let the excess air out of the bleeder screw while the car was running. It's on top of the water pump. Make sure not to unscrew it too far though. It's a 1/4 inch socket I think.

The heater in my 96 escort will not get hot

Check the heater fuses and rheostat solenoid for temp selector. Possibly new heater core needed. Also check cabin filter may need changing. also check fan is working in all speed modes.

My 2006 Ram 2500 Diesel cab heater blows cold are out the driver's side vents and hot air out the passenger side. I can't get the cab warm in the winter unless I place the heater in recircula

CHECK all the vent hoses, are they connected, no ob strucctions, when the last time you replaced the cabin air filter ? do you have one? look @ your owners manual, also, you may need to have several heater controls, or other control on as well, see owners manual, anything fall into the defroster vents ? replace thermostat @ engine. see how this works for you, good luck

Im not getting any heat blows cold air. i changed the thermastat and nothing. it was blowing out hot air in the vent setting but nothing now.

need to check your blend air door located behind the dash on the passanger side, if that checks out good then you have a blockage either in your heater core or hoses to/from the heater core.

Heater blower not working

It sounds like your cabin air filter has stopped up common problem on these cars. You have to remove the glovebox to get to it. If this filter stops up, your fan will be running on high but hardly anything will come out of the vents.

Fully warmed up; blowing hot and cold; Suzuki XL-7

Its just a vent damper plate not operating, it's like a gate which controls the flow of air,,usually they are operated by vacuum, or cables.

Vehicle: 2004 chevy silverado problem: when i run the a/c, the drivers side vents work fine but the passenger side vents will not blow anything but HOT air. I did recently wire a couple of aftermarket...

As long as you did not have to go into the dash to splice those wires, I would say that you have either a Tempreture door that is Broken, or the actuator that controls the passenger side temp. door is bad. Most likely cause will be the actuator, because they have a very high failure rate. The actuator is located is located on the very top of the a/c-heater box behind the radio and a/c control head. It will be rather hard to change because every thing fits so tight. But if you remove the radio and the A/c control head you should be able to find it. Let me know if you need further assistance.
