Look inside behind the light and see if there is an access cover, if not you will have to remove the tail lamp to replace the bulb. If you open the rear hatch and look at the lamp you should see a couple of screws that hold the lamp to the car. Remove these and pull the light out.

What type of bulb for reor tail light

When replacing bulbs, I usually remove the one that is burnt out and match up the number on it or type with the one that came out. Usually, it's 99% correct, unless someone else changed it out with the wrong one.

Can verify by taking apart the other side to determine if it's the same.

Also, one can check with a book at the auto parts store for the varioius types of bulbs in the vehicle in question.

Good luck on finding the right bulb for the rear tail light in your 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

No dash board or tail lights

When the dash light go out it is a standard indicator on all cars that the taillights are out. When a turn signal blinks too fast it means there is a burnt out bulb or bad ground on a bulb. In this case you probably just have a blown tail light fuse. Check your fuse box and replace the fuse.

When I press the break only my passanger side tail light works. Is this a fuse problem?

Try replacing the passenger side tail light bulb.
Inside trunk, remove two black plastic nuts holding carpet liner in place on side where bulb is burnt out.
Pull back carpet, use a flat screwdriver to pop out the wiring. Remove three nuts using a small open-ended socket or pliers.
Pop out entire tail light assembly. Locate bulb to be replaced. Rotate 1/4 turn to remove from socket. Replace bulb and repeat in reverse order to reinstall.
Thank you for using fixya and good luck
