Question about 2000 Buick LeSabre

2 Answers

Is there an oil drain plug on a 2000 Buick LeSabre, and if so, where is it located? I see the oil filter, but no drain plug anywhere. I was wondering if you just remove the filter and let the oil drain from there?

First you will have to raise and support the vehicle with approved stands. As you are under the front side of the vehicle and you are aware that the oil filter is on the engine. You will have to locate the oil pan that is on the bottom of the engine, once you have done this, you will see a hex shaped bolt head at the very bottom of the pan. That is your oil drain plug. Good luck.

You do not say what size eng you have but the drain plug will be on the low part (deep part of oil pan which houses the oil pump) of the oil pan either on the bottom or some times along the side or back. It is definitely not drained through the oil filter. Let me know if you find it. Thanks.

On the underside of the car on the driver's side on the fuel line. You will have to get underneath the car to find the filter and replace it. If you have an oil change shop do your oil, they can do the FF very inexpensively. You might save yourself a bath in gasoline.

Try depressing the gas pedal once before cranking. If it fires right up then replace the fuel filter. If not then you may need to replace the cam sensor.

Where is the oil drain plug on my 2003 buick lesabre?

Should be directly below the engine at the oil drain pan. It should be a larger drain bolt that screws into the oil drain pan.

The transmission pan may be next to it but won't have a drain plug. The transmission fluid pan has several small bolts that hold it on and the whole pan has to be dropped to change that fluid.

Good luck on finding hte oil drain plug for the 2003 Buick LeSabre.

The fuel filter would be located right around the gas tank underneath the vehicle but I do believe that it is electronic and is in the gas tank.

My car was diagnoised with a bad air flow sensor

the mass air flow sensor is located under the top plastic engine cover. to remove this un screw the oil filler tube by hand and remove the top cover. its just to the right of center engine. unplug this sensor. next it has two screws to take this off. It is not standard screws so look at it. remove them and replace sensor. After install go to autozone and have the warning code removed. This is done free. 2000 buick lesabre
