I have a '06 Sentra that i thought had a bad ECM. I recently tried another ecm from an 04 model and it made it worse. my car would run with the old ecm and then randomly stall out at a stop or at times it would lose power, the car would stay on but it would not drive( no rpm when in gear but when put in nuetral the rpm would rev up) Im reading 3 to 4 volts lower on everything according to the dealership diagnoses, please help! nissan sentra 1.8s

I checked the price a replacement ECM and it was a little outrageous. Have you tried to find a compatible, guaranteed ECM at a nissan salvage. Chedk the input voltage to your ECM to make sure it's getting 12 volts. I was wondering also, if you have eliminated the possibility that the problem lies elsewhere such as the mass airflow sensor or map sensor, throttle position sensor.

On the Chrysler 300, 06. The old pump and the new pump comes on for 2 to 5 sec then stops running. Engine sounds like its. Not getting any gas. Trying to locate the fuel release VAL under Hood.

The fuel pump normally only comes on for a second unless the car starts and is running, if the car starts and the pump only runs for a few seconds, then there is a problem with the engine signal to the ecm, ie its not telling the computer that it is running. I dont believe there is a schrader valve on those fuel lines, if there is, chrysler probably put it underneath the intake plenum. If the car will not start, but you hear the fuel pump kick on and off, it could have a clogged fuel filter, or injectors, or even bad connections going to the injectors. They normally are all switched via the ground wire for each injector, so if they are not cycling it could be a bad ecm, or bad connection somewhere in the wiring harness

Car turns over but wont start also the ecm will not give any information the fuel pump is working but no spark

your ECM may be shot. go to your local Nissan dealer and have them run your VIN number for any campaigns. Your model sentra had a ECM foam campaign where the ECM foam inside of the ECM box gets removed, because of the adhesive that Nissan used to adhere the foam inside of the ECM box. The glue that nissan used is toxic and eats the ECM from the inside. That mey be causing your issues. have the VIN number checked to see if the campaign has been performed/foam removed.

if cooling system is full and has no air pockets you need a thermostat....not sealing totally closed.ecm is seeing its taking too long for engine to reach operating temp.there was i believe an updated ecm program for this incident but im almost certai it doesnt apply to your model year.matter of fact i had an 06 today with same code......bad thermostat.figure about 150.00 at the most.

Where is ecm located on 2002 nissan senta

The ECM on my 2002 nissan sentra gxe is located on the left side of the firewall if you're standing in front of the car. It's easy to get to and remove, just a few bolts and a harness. The problem is in finding a replacement. Not many of the rebuilders want to deal with this model as they get a lot of returns. Seems Nissan put a foam liner inside the ecm and even if taken out early there were problems as the glue used to hold the foam caused bad problems with the board in the ecm. There was a recall so if your car wasn't fixed you may get an ecm at no cost.

Ecm module gone bad psooiblely

Clean and tighten your battery cables. I have a 95 cutlass supreme that did the same thing. If that doesnt fix it, the ECM may be to blame. When the ECM went in my Olds, the car would fire but only run for 2-3 seconds. Once I had the ECM replaced it was fine

Sentra will not start after runnibg for 2 miles

Does the service engine light come on when you turn the key to ACC. If not, you have a broken wire to the ECM relay. White with blue stripe. The break happens at the batt. area. No ECM/computer no running. The ECM is not turning on. Check dash lights first.
