I can't figure out how to remove the old battery, so I can install a new one without dismantling other parts of the car. Is their an easy way?

Open the battery compartment. Loosen the bolt on the negative battery post first. Then remove the negative cable from the battery. Do the same to the positive cable. Remove the hold down bracket with a 10mm wrench. Lift out the battery please keep in mind it has acid in it. Now replace with new battery and connect the cables negative to negative , and positive to positive. You may need to reset your radio stations on your car.

I have a 1999 volkswagon Beetle and it has over a 150,000 miles. Lately my headlights have been going dim while driving. I had my battery checked and I was told that it has about 2yrs of battery life...

dim lights while driving would be alternator. Check voltage at battery with engine running. Should be at least 14 volts. If you got a new alternator, it would probably be 15 volts or more. That is one way of solving the problem, but alternators aren't cheap.

What would cause my 1999 volkswagon beetle oil light to come on and beep when I just had the oil changed about a couple of months ago?

It could be time for another oil change or your oil level could be low. Check your mileage and see if its time for another oil change. Hope this helps.

I would gues, if there's no problem with fuel and air, that it is your convenience module or a faulty key, and its engaging the anti theft device.
