Question about GMC Acadia

3 Answers

I was told that the 2007 GMC acadia I have needs the throttle body replaced and also the PCV valve needs replaced and to do this they need to take off the valve cover to do it and thus need a new valve cover gasket. Is this true or am I being lied to?

Thepcv valve is in the valve cover. The valve cover needs to be replaced in order to replace the pcv valve. The intake must be removed in order to remove and replace the valve cover containing the pcv valve.

Where is located the evaporated solenoid valve for ACADIA 2008

If you are referring to the Evap Purge Solenoid it is under the hood behind the duct going from air filter box to throttle body. The part in the red circle.

Where is knock sensor for GMC Acadia 2007

Well, the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor is located on the air intake duct between the filter and the throttle body (Assuming you have the 6L motor). The wires are easily visible at the plug that connects the sensor to the wiring harness. That's the easiest place to access them.

HOW TO REPLACE PCV VALVE ON 2007 ACADIA

There is a black tube that connects to the intake tube that is part of the PCV system. There is no PCV valve like on older vehicles. Be carefull when removing the tube from the nipple. THE NIPPLE CAN BREAK. Carefully remove the tube, clean it, then reinstall. GOODLUCK!!!!

When should fuel inductor/throttle body service be done? When should PCV valve be replaced? When should EGR valve be replaced?

The EGR Valve--is replaced when it fails

The Throttle Body-does not need expensive services,
you can spray the throttle plate, but don't listen to the all
the pitches at the chain stores

The PCV-I never replace them

In nearly 50 years, I only clean them every 3 years
Look at one.pretty simple device

I called my local gm dealer about replacing a front head light for a 2007 GMC Acadia and was told that you have to remove the front end to replace the bulb. Is that right?

that is absurd, it is tight but you can do it yourself.........

directly behind the light is a black cap, turn that counter clockwise, and pull back......
the bulb is on the end, simply reinstall in reverse........

I am assuming the dealer misunderstood, I hope........
that you needed lens replaced.... then again they are a dealer.......

good luck hope this helps, it is tight but you can do it.....

I have found engine oil in the throttle body on 1994 toyota tercel

it may be the pcv valve ( positive crankcase ventilation) that needs replaced. if a pcv valve fails, it will put oil in air cleaner or throttle body. check to be sure hose to valve is not clogged up. its only about a 5.00 part. have a good one !!
