Question about 2001 BMW 325

1 Answer

Poor handling Hi there. I recently bought a BMW 325 sport coupe. I encountered a problem in the wet with the car's handling: going round varying degrees of corners, i was losing the back end. I can't put this down to driving too hard/ fast as after the first time it happened i've been very cautious. I took the car to a BMW specialist, who diagnosed the rear suspension bushes were shot, causing the back wheel alignment to be out of spec and the problem with the handling. I had the corrective work carried out, but have still encountered the problem. There are no lights on to indicate a loss of traction control, so i think that's working fine. My initial thoughts were that the tires were unsuitable- they are the correct spec/ size etc, but are budget tires costing around £60 each. They are pretty new and have loads of tread on them. are these tires simply unsuitable on this type of car, or is something else likely to the problem?

2006 bmw 325i...where is the power steering reservior.

The power steering reservoir should be just under the oil filter housing (round black case with a large nut on the top). It should have a star-shaped handle on it.

E46 BMWs use ATF in their power steering so make sure you use the right fluid.

I have a 2003 BMW 325i and the window won't go up, even though the motor is working. ... Is this something that I can fix without any special equipment?

Hi , this sound like the window lifter has broken , it is quite simple to replace , if you car is a salloon you can replace this with no special tools , however if you have a convertable or a coupe you nead the special tool to be able to adjust the window glass after the lifter has been replaced . hope this helps , regards mark .

from ignition key position 1 , the right hand side trip button on your speedo shut be twisted right to advance the time, the longer you hold it ,the faster it will go,when desired time is reached, press the button inwards to set, switch off ignition and press the button, the time should display for few seconds.

Changed 3 fuses now car wont start

you need to check battery supply most important. if the battery low voltage, cause no start. if the battery ok & strong energy. maybe the drive away protection control if this is the problem you need to bring to BMW dealer to replace control & ENCODE the control unit using SSS.
