Fill it up all the way before starting it, then replace the cap. start vehicle and let it reach operating temp. the resivoir is there to pull from as needed, so when its running take note of how much you fill it up ( to the fill line). as the car is being driven it will pull and/or push fluid into this resivoir. if its not full, add more to it till it stays full. to see it low while running, then full while parked and not running if normal.

Add fluid through the coolant resovior when the engine is cold, fill to the 'full cold' line on the side of the tank.

What types of trans fluid will work in my 2001 hyundai tiburon

The car handbook will provide the required specification the fluid should meet. If the information on the dexron container match those long specification numbers then it should be ok.

Recently fluid specifications change fairly rapidly and it is best to check the fluid manufacturer's current application catalogue before adding fluid to your transmission.

Car is running quietly. Checked water, no leaking. Running very hot

If it isn't over-heating don't worry too much just make sure all your fluids are topped up.
If it does over heat, check the tester cap in the radiator for green fluid and your coolant bottle level. Because if the radiator isn't leaking, you've got yourself a head gasket on its last legs.

Radiator leaking and overheated. We replaced the radiator thermostat but now the car will not turn over and start. We are thinking sensors need to be reset and head gasket needs to be replaced.

2003 Hyundai Elantra: Air is only heated when the gas pedal is pressed (while on the highway the air becomes hot). When the pedal is released (slowing down/stopping) the air cools down to cold.

I had same issue. Turns out it was low on anti-freeze in the radiator. I added fluid and now have lots of heat!! Be sure to also add radiator fluid to the overflow tank too.
