It is under the dash on the driver side, remove the panel above where your feet go and it is behind it-held in place with clips.

PCM on your saturn is located on the driver side, under the dash. You have to remove the dashboard under panels, located in the middle, and it will be aluminum in color, and have some cooling fins made into is as well.

How do I troubleshoot my 1993 Saturn sl1 the fan doesn't work so the car overheats, beings I'm a female, tired of depending on a am , please help

If you know for a fact the cooling fan is why the engine overheats, you would test the relay and the signal from the computer.
The relay gets power from the battery circuit and the key switch, and a ground signal from the computer when the fan is needed.
The engine temp sensor tells the computer how hot the engine is, and when it reaches 220 degrees the computer grounds the relay providing power to the fan motor.
You would need a meter or a test light and the wiring diagram for the circuit to find the problem.

Hi My car engine just died on highway. Check engine light came on. Diagnostic showed P0340 CAM sensor error. Got it replaced but error still there. Got Fuel filter and the sensor on the engine Oil cae(...

The cam sensor is supplied a reference voltage by the engine computer and the cam sensor should generate a signal back to the engine computer above 50 rpm of the engine cranking. The problem could be a faulty purchased cam sensor (yes this happens sometimes although rare) fwiring connector problem at cam sensor or faulty engine computer.

Need help on how to fix injector #1 control circuit....the engine code on my 2002 dodge grand caravan w/ 3.3 engine, is giving me the code for injector #1 and #2 control circuit...what would be the next...

the injectors are controlled by the computer that gets signals from sensors. check sensors first, all of them on the engine and then, if no problem found, have your computer check by repair shop

Engine service light is continuously on.

The only way to find out why it is on is to have an obd2 scanner hooked up to have engine codes read. This will pinpoint exact problem area. Many part stores will do it for free. Shops charge about $40. Well worth it.

High idle and engine getting hot

most common thing for this is either a failed coolant temp sensor that is not telling the computer that the car is warmed up and it is still running at cold Idle speed adn the code will tell you that.
Or a vacuum leak and the computer is trying to make up for the leak my making changes to the fuel deliery to keep the engine running .
If you find this information helpful please give me a fixya! Rating and if you need more help on this problem please contact me.

The only way to find out what code is stored in the computer and what turned the check engine light on is with an OBDII scan tool and also the only way to turn off the light but just turning off gthe light does not fix the problem, as soon as the computer does it checks again and you have completed the predetermined dive cycles the light will return so the only way to keep the light off is to properly repair the reason it was commanded on in the first place!

Saab 9-3 engine into 9-5

the engines are different model engines since they run off the computer im thinking that you need to set the computer to the 9.3 since the specs run the 9-5 at different frequency the enigine modules still think its a 9-5 in which you want the computer to run it at 9-3 this gives the high throttle reving

you need a laptop and your cars software to set the idle control for vehicle and possibily the proper idle control module for engine
