The problem is the blower motor resistor pack, it"s under the passenger side dash panel in the heater box held in by two screws.

It just blows cold air. no hot air

First, make sure your coolant level is full. After spending some time looking around you probably have a shut off valve in the engine compartment. See if you can locate 2 black(sometimes red) heater hoses, about 1 1/4 inches in diameter, coming from the firewall on the passenger side. The heater control valve is located inline with the hoses. It turns on and off the flow of hot water through the heater core which radiates heat in your passenger compartment. Check with your parts house to verify this by looking up the control valve.

Looking for a diagram for 2001 Ford Windstar - Heater Vacuum Hose. I believe that is why the heater only works when the engine RPMs are up

this is kind of vague, so please dont give me a bad vote but it sounds like your heater control valve is defected.

Remove panel

It is your temperature door actuator that is bad. You do not need to remove the covers. You can get to it by removing the lower cover where is cigarette lighter is. It's held on by 4 plastic screws. Pull the ashtray/cupholder open. The white actuator is held in by 3 8mm screws. The top one is the hardest to get to.Replace it and your problem is fixed.Good luck

My blower motor never work, and it's been getting cold so it's time to get it fixed. The heat comes on, and you can hear it changing from vents to floor and feel a little heat, it just dont blow. So I took...

You can purchase a repair manual for the car on ebay motors that will have a electrical component locator for $20.00, First try looking under the dash board in the general area of the glove box to locate the heater box the fan resistor will have 3 or 4 wires going to the side of the heater box it is held on by small machine screws usually remove with a 1/4" socket wrench with the appropriate size socket usually an 8 or 9 mm hopefully you can change it yourself you may need to remove a cover underneath to gain access to the heater box if not get the cd repair manual on ebay to walk you through the repair.

CHANGED WIRES TO PLUGS WANT VERFIY PROPER LOCATION TO COILS

have a look at the coil pack... it is numbered... now if it's like a 95 windstar the engineers had a sense of humour. it is 1 2 3 down one side then 4 6 5 down the other.... i didn't notice this when i changed my coil pack and couldn't figure out why it was missing.

Heater problem

the Heater Blend Door Actuator is broken. Cost 40 dollars to fix if you do it yourself. I just fixed mine this morning. You need to remove the bottom panel under the cup holders, Four srews two on each side. it is located up behind the radio. no you do not need to remove the radio.
