Question about Honda Pilot

1 Answer

Can you legally remove a rear wiper on a honda pilot just because it would look better without one? If it's put there by the factury to ensure clearer vision through the back window, can you get ticketed for removing it just like you can get a ticket in some states for having anything hanging from your rear view mirror? Yes you can remove it. It is for your convenience only. It is not required by law.

My 2004 Honda Pilot rear wiper and washer fluid stopped working and the air bag light came on. How do I fix it?

You blew a fuse, the rear wiper and side impact airbags both run off the same 7.5mw fuse that can be found with all them other fuses under your dash. I don't believe that its labeled. just pop them out one at time until you find the one that's blown!

What size is the replacement for the rear windshield on a 2005 Honda Pilot?

If you go to a replacement place which supplies them(I hate to say Walmart)they should have a computer which tells you the correct size. Also,if you are able to remove the old one,you could bring it in to match up.Most parts stores can look it up though, even call over the phone.Make, model, possible engine size(not usually) and whether it's a hatchback. No brand is better than the other.Avoid the triple blade,I think they are Rain-X as they have been known to burn up the wiper motor due to the added resistance of 3 blades. If they only sell pairs, throw the other in the trunk for back-up.Some are tricky to remove, mine is somewhat though,so if you need help, feel free to comment back and I will get an autolink to your post.
Good luck! Greg

2000 Honda Odyssey rear wiper motor replacement

You are probably correct in thinking its the wiper motor. You can do this but you will need to remove all the interior trim from the rear hatch first. Get a trim clip removal tool at a parts store...it will work much better than just a flat blade screwdriver. You'll have to remove the trim panels starting in order from the top of the door, then the left rear window side trim, then right rear window side trim, then the grab handle, and finally the main rear hatch trim panel. Once inside, removing and replacing the rear wiper motor is easy. You'll start by lifting the cover on the wiper arm retention nut. Remove this nut to get the wiper arm off, then remove the nut under neath which is the motor shaft mounting nut. Now, back inside to remove the other 3 motor mounting bolts. Don't forget to disconnect the connector for the motor wires. Reverse steps to replace.

Problem removing rear wiper on 2006 honda pilot

You can't replace the wiper. But Parts department at any Honda dealer should sell the replacement blade (just the rubber part). I believe it was under $10. Good luck!

Rear wiper blade

I went to a Honda dealer and bought a replacement wiper blade (rubber part only) for about $6, and the guy in parts came outside and changed it for me. You slip off the rubber blade only from the wiper assembly and then slip in the new blade.
