Re: REPLACE FUEL FILTER
OK, try looking under the rear of the vehicle, on the right hand side in front of the fuel tank...it may be hidden by a protective undershield.

Hello vincent mham: My name is Roger and I will help with your question. The low and high pressure fuel filter are both located at the fuel pump inside of the fuel tank. To replace either fuel filter you must remove the pump unit from the fuel tank. If there is any dout about the condition of the fuel pump. I would replace the pump at the same time. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
Hello f poll: My name is Roger and I will help you. There is no fuel filter that you can easily get to. GM did not install a replaceable filter. The only filter for your GMC is located inside the fuel tank. To replace it would require removal of the fuel tank. What that means is this. When you replace the fuel pump you will replace the filter at the same time. The pump and the filter are a module unit. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
Hello jazief1: My name is Roger and I will help you. Volvo has done what GM and chrysler have done. They eliminated the fuel filter . They do not require a filter replacement as the only stainer is now part of the fuel pump module. The only way to replace this filter is to replace the fuel pump module assembly. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
the filter is located in the engine bay or under the car. not attached to the fuel pump.
I dont think the dealership will help you with this, however if you purchase your fuel filter from a parts store they can possibly give you the exact location. hope this helps!
Wait Bill before you order anything ok. What exactly is the vehicle doing? Stalling ok. does it restart right away? Is there a check engine light on. The ML has had a fuel filter modication . The new fuel filter is larger. If you have the old style small one you will need to do the Modifications. 3 lines and a tie wrap and possibly the fuel pump . Do you really want to just start replacing things?
