Question about 1997 Toyota Avalon
If power steering pump is leaking your options are:
replace w/new or rebuilt or have yours rebuilt.
They make stop leak for pwr steering units but it's a very temporary fix. In answer to "driving it" - it's at your own risk - if it locks up then there's possibility of an accident. I'd get it fixed and be done w/the worries. Have a reputable shop look at it and give you an estimate.
