Don't know why I did not think of that. It won't work with only 25psi. Thanks!

P0305 cylinder misfire in 96 chevy z71 k1500 5.7 vortec

i would not spend the money on heads w/out diagnosing # 5 misfire. misfire is caused by many different things. i would first start by verifying in fact #5 is at fault. start engine, with it running and using well insulated plyers, pull each wire off dist. cap one at a time. you will notice the engine missing worse each one you pull until you reach the one causing the miss. this wire, when pulled, will not change the evident missing cylinder. if it is #5, check spark, at spark plug end. stick a small screwdriver or equivilent in the removed boot, and place it a cm away from a ground source. start engine. observe spark. should be nice and blue, and ark a good inch from ground. if no spark, swap a wire and check again. if still no spark replace cap and rotor. if their is spark, make check plug. even though new, its easy to crack porcilan installing it. try another plug. if still a miss, start engine with plug removed, breifly, and compression should be evident. strong popping noise of compressed air. a compression gauge is the proper test ( 4 strokes 125 psi) but if audible compression is heard without a doubt, more than likely fine. w spark and compression seeming ok, next is possible fuel, (injector) or intake leak, leaning ouy cylinder. try this and let me know. 97 chevy blazer rough idling problem? help?

It is hardly ever the spark plug or only the spark plug - generally for some reason there is a weak or lost spark and the reason must be found and rectified by carefully checking and then replacing any components found to be edfective - plug wires, coil, distributor cap, rotor (if fitted), wiring, connections and could conceivably even be the ECU. Perhaps the misfire is due to injector trouble...

Sometimes a fault with persist even after it has been "cured" until the fault code is erased with diagnostic equipment.

I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Galant with rough idle and no power when accelerating. Replaced spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, spark plug wires, MAF, both oxygen sensors, air filter and the engine still...

I am having the same issue on Mitsubishi Galant 02. Clattering on acceleration, herky jerky idle. Pulled a code multiple cylinder misfire. My mechanic's diagnosis is bad valve cover gasket causing oil to seap into the spark plugs and bad timing belt, which I have not replaced at 150k miles. I do however know my fuel injectors do need cleaning, he hasn't ruled that out either. Have you pulled any code on it? I have read on engine knock sensor going out on some of these also. Hope this helps some.

I have a 2001 chevy blazer with the 4.3 vortex v6 motor misfiring on cylinders 4, 5, 6. i have changed the distributor, coil and the module that bolts to coil, and the spark plugs, wires, and distributor...

misfires can be caused by faulty ignition components, but they can also stem from other components. Such as faulty injectors, or improperly timed or unseated valves. Sounds like you have touched on all of your ignition suspects.
Are there any codes present other than P0304, P0305 and P0306? If so they should help guide you in the right direction. If not, You might want to make sure your valves are seating and if so, go ahead and swap an injector from a misfiring hole with a good one from a hole with no misfire. (like switch #2 and #4 injectors for example) if the misfire moves to cyl 2, you know the injector is at fault.

Code p0300 coming up random cylinder misfire already changed wires had cylinder 5 misfire .should i replace coil

If you already replaced the wires, I would suggest replacing the plugs, distributor cap and rotor. They are also very important parts of the spark. Fuel injector problems can also cause misfires.
