They're located in tubing coming from your air filter

I'm not seeing fuse(s) for MAF sensor in diagram. You might want to run it by your local autozone, etc parts store and have them do a FREE fault scan then reset your light(s) Clearing the codes sometimes frees up glitches in MAF and other sensors.

I HAVE HYUNDAI CAR 2002 SHOW HTIS CODE P0106 AND P0172. WHAT IS THE DEFFRENCE BETEEW MAP/BARO, VAF/MAF.

MAP = mass air pressure, Baro is atmospheric air pressure ( as in barometer), VAF = volume air flow and MAF = mass air flow . The baro sensor alters the air fuel mixture for varying altitudes that the vehicle can travel through. IE from flat plains at sea level to over the rockis.. The VAF sensor measures the volume of air passing through the air intake . The MAF measures the combination of volume and the density of the air flowing through the air intake to adjust the air fuel mixture as cold air is more dense and requires more fuel to burn completely. The MAP measures the vacuum in the manifold after the throttle control to adjust the air fuel mixture in over run situations so that the car will not backfire. All these sensors continually supply input to the ECM which continually compares them with the O sensors and adjusts the injector pulse to ensure complete burn of the mixture in all situations and engine rpm's.

Where is the Mass Air Flow Sensor RELAY located?

To my knowledge the MAF relay is mounted in the engine compartment area (As you say under the hood) the two relays there are identical if I stand to correction. With the engine switched off (never ever remove a MAF relay or plug and then try to start the engine, or even merely switch on the ignition as this will throw the computer out after which the engine will never start properly again and you will have to go through a major process to reset the computer.) remove the relays and check the plug in connections underneath they are usually situated a bit differently compared to each other, this should give you an idea which one is the MAF.

My 124 260e A/T merc benz starts fine and accelerates fine and runs fine for the first 4-5 minutes. After which, no matter how I press the accelerator pedal, there's just no speed/throttle. Hence

run the fault codes to determine the problem area ( ECM , fuel pressure , faulty injector control, MAF/VAF sensors or failed heated oxygen sensors

P0100 OBD-II Trouble Code

Technical Description

Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Malfunction

Basically this means that there's a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit.

You will likely not notice any serious driving problems, but there may be symptoms like a general decrease in power or sluggishness.
Causes

A code P0100 may mean one or more of the following:

* The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be bad.
* The MAF sensor may be faulty.

Possible Solutions

Use an OBD II Reader (or go tou your local parts store and they will for free) and reset the code and see if it comes back.
Then start with the cheapest, easiest repair procedures:

* Check the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring/harness is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires.
* Unplug and reconnect the MAF wiring harness a few times to clear the contacts.
* Check the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information).
* Replace the MAF sensor.

Car will be running fine at 70 then it starts droping speed down to about 40 and it runs there will not accelerate if you stop it kills when you restart it it runs fine for a while then the cycle repeats.

Hi Othcon,

I think our connection got broken so not sure if you got the link I was giving you which is here.
http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q_how_to/a4/a4pumpeindex.htm

I do recommend it as resource as it has some great troubleshoots and How to's in relation to your vehicle. If that relay 109 that we talked about does not resolve the issue look for information on the MAF (mass airflow) sensor on that site as out of all the sensors on the TDi that is the most troublesome one likely to throw a code and create this 'limp mode' situation.

If you get this message - please do come back and let me know by rating this answer.

Many Thanks for using FixYa and as both the MAF and relay are relatively easy enough fixes I hope you get it sorted without having to go to the dealer to get codes read etc...
