It's has to be the fuel injector or the or check the fuel pressure to see if the filter is dirty reducing the pressure in the fuel line.

Check the fuel injector in most cases when the number 1 injector goes bad the other injector have the tendency to misfire. Also you need to check the fuel pressure to see if is to low due to a dirty filter.

Check coil and plug wire. If both test good have compression test done on that cylinder

Continuous flash of the check engine light on a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited what could be wrong ?

spark plugs can cause misfires for sure. If you swap the number two cylinder plug with another cylinder then retest the code and the code stays on the same cylinder then its not the plug. could be coil, injector, engine mechanical. be careful not to drive to long because you could damage the catalytic convertor. thats why the check engine lamp flashes because its a catalyst damaging misfire.

Intermittent misfire on the number one cylinder

plugs or wires. if you have separate coils for each cylinder could also be that. injectors can cause misfire also, try getting injectors cleaned first

2002 liberty 3.7 liter. I have replaced the coil, plugs and injector for cylinder #6. On cold starts I get a ramdom misfire code and engine is missing. If I re-start 3-4 times engine starts up and runs...

If you have Coil- on -Plug you haven't found the bad one yet

Your not always going to get a code that is correct
e.g.PO304,PO305 etc

I would buy the injector from you, as I'm sure that wasn't it,
unless you have an air leak around it

You want no vacuum leaks,a near new EGR Valve,no
air induction tubing leaks

Clean the MAF Sensor with CRC MAF Cleaner

Clean Throttle Plate--CRC Throttle Body Cleaner

You did put anti-sieze on those spark plugs, if not
do so.

How old are the O2 Sensors
More than 80,000 mile, replace the front 2 with OEM
Specific Make--Bosch or NGK etc and not some
cut & splice universal type

2004 jeep wrangler engine code P0301

P0301 - Cylinder 1 misfire detected........P0302 - Cylinder 2 misfire deteced, and so on........so either it is a current misfire, which you would be running on 4 cylinders instead of 3, or it is an intermittent problem.......i will provide some possiblities,,,
- ignition system (spark plugs, leads, coil packs)
- fuel system (injectors, ecu etc)
- running out of fuel
- low compression

Basically, if your vehciel has not had service for a while, change the spark plugs, and engine oil, and give her some loving, tender care....

However, if it is regularly servicedm there might be a bigger problem.....

More info required to help you.

1999 jeep cherokee 6 cylinder engine light

1.Plugs
2. Vacuum leak
3. Injector fault
4. High or low fuel pressure.
Thats the list of things to check.
This is a #3 cylinder misfire.
There is also TSB about #3 injector needing added heat protection. This could definitely be the cause. I start at plugs and go from there.
Hope this helps.
Thank you,
Lee

Check engine light flashing Computer is number 1 cylinder misfiring New spark plugs New number 1 cylinder plug discolored No apparent oil or antifreeze leaks

the fuel injector is not pulsing correctly,it probably has something in the screen in side of it,you will need to check that screen in the injector or replace it

Check Engine Light P0302 Code

p0302 is a cylinder #2 misfire. when they swiched the coils did the misfire follow the coil or did it stay on cyl.#2. if the problem stayed with #2 they need to pull the cylinder head and check the valves with known good valves. have them install it into the cylinder head with valve lapping compound and run a pattern. if the cylinder head comes out with a good pattern replace the valves with the new pieces and reassemble the motor. if not the vehicle will need a new cylinder head
