A full top to bottom service should cost 300 euro to 400euro. that depends on what you want to get done and serviced.

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Up to $4000.00. Brakes alone at a dealership may be around $2500.00. Average annual service costs are going to be $2000.00 or so. A customer of mine was charged $7000.00 for brake work in Las Vagas two years ago.

Check engine turns on

The CHECK ENGINE light means that your car's computer has detected one of literally dozens of conditions that could effect the vehicle's operation, safety, or emissions. The ONLY way to isolate and identify the specific problem is to have the OBD computer codes read. You can have this done (at cost) at any Kia dealer or auto service shop, or at NO COST at most major auto parts stores. Call your local parts stores and ask if they offer this FREE service and if they can read the codes on your 2000 Rio.

The service engine light comes on, what can cause the light to come on

When your service engine light comes on it means the vehicle monitoring system has detected any number of conditions that could cause problems such as low oil pressure , a bad oxygen sensor, a misfire etc. You can take it to most autopart stores who will use a code reader to

I have to replace the lifters in my 2006 GMC Envoy. This will cost over $2,000. The warranty ran out in Oct 2009. The service person said that I didn't do anything to cause the problem Is there any way...

If you need to replace the lifters, how is the cam shaft?

I assume you went over the service bulletins, with the dealer, as well as extending warrantee on your issues.

Unless you just passed the mileage limit,I have heard of very few people getting any results from a Manufacturer. Not since the bail outs, they could care less.

The Dealer has met their franchise obligation,so don't get upset with them, they will not help you ,their just a large repair shop, working for themselves and major mfg's

If you could do your own work or have friend help out, that would keep the cost down.
What you have is 90% labor.

Back in the day,1960's,we would stay up all night, change a cam shaft and head to the diner ,then the drag strip, at sunrise.

I am looking into buying a used 2000-03 Porsche Boxster 2.7L with less than 90k. And i was wondering if there are any major problems on that car since they made the 2.7l engine are they reliable and if not...

No major faults to report. However the RMS may be faulty as with previous models whoch is not terminal meaning will not cause a major catastophe down the line ( as per my Porsche dealer at Guildford, Surrey). Its £1k fix. Other than that bullet proff if service histor is up to date. ENjoy.

My 06 hyundai elantra is in the shop right now for a repair of a head gasket, its almost at 60,000 miles. They said that a major service is coming up.....what type of major service are they talking about?

Major service means tune up and timing belt.
Look up your owner manual , there is a service schedule section , you'll find what needs to be done at 60k on your car , but in any case it shouldn't add up much more cost sience engine all apart,
And as for the timing belt (if you have one) , they have to replace it anyway , because when you do a head gasket , you take timing belt out.

Engine service light

The engine service light typically means something else is keying the light. Oil changes are ususally not part of the service light causes unless you have oil pressure problems. You should take the car to one of the national parts stores such as Pep Boys or Autozone where they can run a service light diagnostic to isolate the problem. This is generally a free service or low cost service. I would not drive far with the light on so you should take care of it as soon as possible before you have a major problem.

Engine oil

sounds like a head gasket is worn
depending on who services vehicle will be what the cost will be

I recommend since your going to be doing the gasket replacement i would do some of the other major gasket replacements also this will spare the trouble of break down in the future and having to replaced what has already been replaced and now paying double for the cost of one job
